This program is for someone who loves children and who becomes a big sister to the children they are taking care of and who you will fall in love with! You become a part of the family and get to experience family life in the US whilst providing childcare services in exchange for room, board, weekly or monthly stipend and a contribution towards education.
Some tasks may include taking the kids to school, arranging play dates, making kids meals, helping with homework, help prepare the children with the days activities, bathing the children, changing nappies and assisting with general childcare duties.
Being an Au Pair is a great way to live in another country for a year and fulfill your passion for children whilst getting an opportunity to have a cultural experience and an embrace all things American, some of which may seem weird or odd!
